Dennis E. Keys is a native Arizonan and was educated in public schools in Arizona and New Mexico. Beginning in 1957, Mr. Keys worked exclusively in the insurance industry for more than 30 years, handling marine claims at all levels.
His experience includes: in Chicago, Appleton & Cox, Inc. (adjuster), Marine Office of America (adjuster and claims manager), Hartford Insurance Group (marine claims supervisor), and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company (adjuster). In New Orleans, American International Marine Agency (regional claims manager) and, in Houston, Trident Marine Managers, Inc. (claims director).
In Chicago, Mr. Keys was primarily involved in the adjustment of hull, towers liability, cargo, and protection and indemnity claims of the inland waterways transportation industry, and to a lesser extent ocean cargo adjustments. Since 1979, Mr. Keys has been most active in the marine exposures related to the energy industry, and brings a wealth of practical experience to our practice. Currently, Mr. Keys is involved primarily with insurance coverage and contract analysis, and assisting the attorneys on coverage and insurance litigation matters.
